OUR STORY
The 3rd Element (you probably know us as 3E) was founded by a group of passionate parents in 2017. We were all athletes back in the day and most of us have watched our own kids grow up in sports. But the scene is different today. While we grew up playing pick-up games in the neighborhood, kids today have grown up playing in organized leagues and regularly work out with trainers. They start younger and spend their time developing their skills and trying to get faster and stronger. Skills and performance are surely two elements to building a complete athlete. However, there is a third element that seems to have been lost. The 3rd Element focuses on being coachable, accountable, and putting the team before yourself. These are the same skills you need to be successful in your career and in life. We call these 3E skills.
At 3E, we provide training to high school and college athletes. We believe that athletics should train kids to be leaders, help them to better interact with others, and give them an opportunity to develop their emotional intelligence. We believe kids should approach sports with a mentality for hard work and getting better every day – things they can control – and let go of stats, playing time, and wins as the only measure of success. By doing this, kids will have a better experience, be less likely to quit early, and ultimately build 3E skills that will last a lifetime.
